Your sim just disappears from the game for however many minutes it takes to go to work or school. You can't have them slack off or work hard or sleep or suck up to their boss. As it stands, the worlds are small with barely anything to do in them, you have load screens to go to most lots, you have no control over what your sim is doing whilst at work or school. If they pulled the emotions and sim creator from Sims 4 and chucked it in Sims 3 the game would have a hell of a lot more to show for. Not a lot of designs to choose from and really plain. It's hard to navigate and difficult to get a grasp of. The Build/Buy mode is inconvenient, annoying and slow. The lack of diversity with the hair styles and clothes across the ages teen, young adult and adult was a huge disappointment and for a game that's supposed to be focused more on the sims personalities, there's less traits than the starter for sims three. However, the only thing that's different about it, is body mods. The new sim creator is awesome and really useful for getting really unique sims. Overall, I would say I am very pleased with the game and I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews, The Sims 4 is a smoother, tidier and all round better looking version of the Sims 3 with tons of added features and a Sim that is much more interactive than before. It seems to me, the original game was made to be so simplistic with the intention of adding more expansion packs than with the previous games,which I can only assume to be a way of making more money. however i'm fairly sure those things will come in time. Surely you aren't basing your entire opinions on something so small which, if you ask me, is a major improvement? Why would you want to watch your Sim glitch from place to place (as the Sims 3 was slow to the point it was almost unplayable) when you can travel there within seconds? Granted, there are a number of things missing that I would like to have seen in the Sims 4, such as swimming pools and a larger variety of clothes etc. For example, the load screen when travelling between places. Please do not release expansions again like the old-days, as this takes too much time for development. I am already looking forwards for more DLCs to come. All in all, the game has a lot of innovative and creative improvement, which is a must-have for all fans of simulation. Also, it is very realistic, which is an outstanding life simulator. It has a lot of elements added, and offers a great variety of game play choices for players. The game play elements also bring the simulation of life to a new level. On a technical side, the optimization is perfect, the game is running extremely smoothly. It has an improved UI, which is more user friendly.
